Board-certified pediatric dentists are held to the highest standards in pediatric dental care, having completed specialized training and a voluntary certification process. For Dr. Andrea Aduna, that certification reflects deep expertise and a commitment to the latest advances, which is a solid foundation for your child's lifelong oral health.
The AAPD recommends an initial oral evaluation by Age 1, or within 6 months of the first tooth. Your child's first visit includes a facility tour, a gentle exam with Dr. Andrea, and time to talk through brushing, flossing, and diet. For children under three, that first appointment is complimentary.

Typically around ages 3 to 4. X-rays help us catch cavities between teeth, monitor growth, and plan ahead, so small issues are found early, when they are easiest to treat. How often depends on what your child needs.
Most children develop the coordination to brush around ages 6 to 8, with flossing following closer to 8 to 10. Even then, a little supervision keeps technique on track, and regular check-ups help us reinforce good habits.
